The Biochar Toilet project aims to provide an efficient, inexpensive, and sanitary way to dispose of human fecal matter, which would promote better health in poor or isolated communities.

Alarm Dialog Management (ADaM)

The ADaM project uses JavaScript to manage overlapping and ambiguous alarms. This allows the user to avoid alarm fatigue and make the best decisions possible in a crisis or high-alert situation.

The Kea is an open-source framework for embedded systems, including a scheduler, task management, hardware abstraction layer, and more features.

KidsOR Oxygen Generator

Through ceramic ion transport and a simple design, this project aims to provide a source of pure oxygen to rural and remote hospitals. Public Invention has worked in conjunction with NASA and American Oxygen, and in partnership with KidsOR, to further this aim.

ManuVera

This is an associated project developed by a team during the Rice360 15th Annual Global Health Technologies Design Competition. They developed a forearm and the upper arm components for a prosthetic hand design.

PolyVent 2.0 Educational Platform

PolyVent

PolyVent is a diverse volunteer team of international engineers, scientists, clinicians and other professionals who have joined forces to design, build and produce a clinical-grade, open-source ventilator in response to the COVID-19 crisis and the resulting global shortage of ventilators.
