Public Invention, Inc., (this non-profit) encourages student groups to create clubs at their schools devoted to the ideas of Public Invention and Humanitarian Engineering. In fact, we’ve written a article explaining how and why to do this, which we would be happy for you to share.
However, to use the name “Public Invention”, which is our brand, we’d like your club to be aligned with the mission of Public Invention. Our mission statement is not long, but it boils down to this: “Invention in the public, for the Public”. This means making free-libre open source inventions that make the world a better place.
If you create a club, we’d like you to register with us by sending an email to <firstname.lastname@example.org> or <email@example.com>. If you register with us, we would love to go to you and give a talk to your club, and we will connect you with other Public Invention clubs!
